Eunice Louise Anderson Phillips

Funeral services for Eunice Louise Anderson Phillips, 97, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at her home in Lawrence.
She was born June 10, 1911, in Superior, Neb., the daughter of Albert and Sadie Ellis Anderson. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1929.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and assisted her husband as a bookkeeper in the family contract painting business.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, a den mother, a Pink Lady with the hospital auxiliary and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was also an avid bridge player.
She married Allen V. Phillips on June 12, 1929, in Lawrence. He preceded her in death May 3, 1969.
Survivors include a son, Lewis A. Phillips and wife Carolyn, Lawrence; three grandchildren, Terrence A. Phillips, Constance A. Soloway and Jon L. Phillips; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Soloway, Madelyn Phillips and Taylor Phillips.
The family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church, sent in care of the mortuary.
