Timothy Jay Bell 1940 - 2009 Blue River, Ore.
No services are planned for Timothy Jay Bell, 68, Blue River. Burial will be in Brownsboro Cemetery in Eagle Point, with a celebration of life ceremony to be held at a later date.
Mr. Bell died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, after a battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Baldwin City, Kan., the son of Clyde and Marjorie Bell. He graduated in 1958 from Baldwin High School, where he was active in sports.
Mr. Bell had worked as a partner on the family farm. He later moved to Baker City, where he was employed in a mill and worked as a ranch hand. In the late 1960s, he moved to Blue River and was involved in construction. He retired from construction work in 1997, but continued to pursue many projects.
He married Evelyn Tawney on Aug. 25, 1961, in Ottawa, Kan. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kim Long, Redmond, Ore.; his mother, Baldwin City; a sister, Nancy Billet, Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Providence Hospice, 2033 Commerce Drive, Medford, OR 97504.
