Madeline P. Trower Gibson
Oskaloosa — Funeral services for Madeline P. Trower Gibson, 88, Manchester, Mo., formerly of McLouth and Winchester, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will be at Winchester-Wise Cemetery in Winchester.
Mrs. Gibson died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Florissant, Mo.
She was born Sept. 16, 1920, in McLouth, the daughter of Harry LeRoy and Lucinda Ann Moore Trower. She was a 1938 graduate of Winchester High School.
Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker.
She was a member of the McKnight Road Church of Christ in St. Louis and a member of the “Faculty Dames,” an organization of teachers’ wives.
She married Dale Edsel Gibson on July 17, 1938, in Topeka. He preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Julia Shrimplin, Deerfield, Mary York, Florissant, Mo., and Nina Dougherty, Gladstone, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
