Frederick Earl Johnston

No funeral services are planned for Frederick Earl Johnston, 75, Vancouver.
Mr. Johnston died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver.
He was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Leavenworth, Kan., the son of Earl and Mary Violet Johnston.
He grew up in Lawrence, Kan., and was a graduate of Liberty Memorial High School.
Mr. Johnston served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked many years for the Union Pacific Railroad prior to retirement.
He married Mable Tinder. She survives, of Vancouver.
Other survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Wilson, Vancouver; one brother, Roy Johnston, Lawrence; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
