Billy Dale Allen 1953 - 2009 Tonganoxie
Memorial services for Billy Dale Allen, 55, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen. Cremation is planned.Mr. Allen died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.He was born Oct. 30, 1953, in Florence, S.C., the son of Ernest M. and Eloise G. Gore Allen. He graduated from high school and later served in the U.S. Army as a heavy equipment operator.Mr. Allen was trained as a certified nursing assistant and worked at a nursing home in San Antonio. He volunteered at Lawrence Community Shelter.Survivors include his father, Augusta, Ga. He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, James B. and Ronnie G.The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Community Shelter, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory.Online condolences may be sent at rumsey-yost.com.
