Bertha Irene Wiley 1911 - 2009 Oskaloosa
Oskaloosa — Graveside services for Bertha Irene Wiley, 98, Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.Mrs. Wiley died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.She was born Jan. 12, 1911, in Shannon, the daughter of John and Nettie Carson Hiebsch. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1929.Mrs. Wiley worked at the Santa Fe Railway offices in Topeka for many years. She retired in 1976. She was a member of the Rail Workers Union. She married Lew Wiley in 1942. He preceded her in death March 10, 1975. Survivors include a sister, Lola Ross, Perry, and many nieces and nephews.The family suggests memorials to Jefferson County Hospice, sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, KS 66066.
