Robert E. Lewis 1957 - 2009 Lawrence
Rev. Robert E. Lewis
A memorial service for the Rev. Robert E. Lewis, 52, Lawrence, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at First Regular Missionary Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
He died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born July 9, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Rayford Esipo and Hilda L. Jackson Lewis.
Mr. Lewis served in the U.S. Navy from May 1975 until August 1976. He worked as a chemical worker for ICL Performance Product L.P. He served as an associate minister at First Regular Missionary Baptist Church.
He married Minnie Jane Coleman on July 2, 1987, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, of Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers and five sisters; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
