Larry Duane Housworth 1951 - 2009 Lawrence
Memorial services for Larry Duane Housworth Sr., 58, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Conference Room A.
Mr. Housworth died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 26, 1951, in Lawrence, the son of George Lloyd and Marjorie Ann Pieratt Housworth.
He attended Lawrence schools, and obtained his GED from Lawrence High School in 1969.
Mr. Housworth was employed as a head rollformer at Amarr Garage Doors for 18 years. He was a member of the Jayhawk Model Masters RC Club of Lawrence and the Franklin County Flyers Club.
Survivors include his lifetime partner, Sue Sumner, of the home; a daughter, Llona Skadra, Poland, Ind.; three sons, Larry Housworth Jr., Topeka, Cody Housworth, Lawrence, and Jason Mitchell, New Port Richey, Fla.; a brother, Lloyd David, Lawrence; a sister, Linda Louise Deker, Lawrence; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
