Douglas Kent Williams

Funeral services for Douglas Kent Williams, 33, Manhattan, formerly of Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eudora Baptist Church. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.
Mr. Williams died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born March 30, 1976, in Lawrence, the son of Richard “Rick” and Mary Grosdidier Williams.
Mr. Williams graduated from Eudora High School in 1994. He attended Kansas State University and received a graphic arts degree from the Manhattan Area Technical College. He was the IT manager for the Athletic Department at KSU.
He was also an avid KSU sports fan and enjoyed working with kids and their activities.
He married Sarah Ptacek. She survives of the home, in Manhattan.
Other survivors include two sons, Brady Clinton Williams and Grant Douglas Williams; his parents, Rick and Mary Williams, Eudora; his paternal grandmother, Dessie Williams, Eudora; and his maternal grandparents, Norbert and Margaret Grosdidier, rural Eudora.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eudora Baptist Church.
