Daniel W. Koger 1923 - 2009 Topeka
Funeral service for Daniel W. Koger, 86, Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Koger, formerly of Lawrence, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
He was born March 22, 1923 in Clay Center, the son of Daniel H. and Bertha Koger.
Mr. Koger worked for the DuPont company for many years retiring as supervisor. He moved to Lawrence in 1956 and to Topeka in 2004.
He married Phyllis J. McWilliams on Aug. 13, 1943, in Astoria, Ore. She preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 2007.
Survivors include a son, Steve Koger and wife Jenni, of Ames, Iowa; a daughter, Pamela Chandler and husband John, of San Diego; and grandchildren Christopher Opsal, Kimberly Black, Stephanie Sunderman and Ben Koger.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
