Anne Marie Carr 1955 - 2009 Lawrence
Graveside services for Anne Marie Carr, 54, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Carr died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 26, 1955, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Joyce Washburn Carr. She graduated from Raytown South High School in 1972.
Ms. Carr worked as finance manager at Community Mercantile for seven years. She volunteered at Pelathe Center through Americorps and attended Unity Church. She owned and operated Calculating Lady, doing bookkeeping for small businesses in Lawrence, including Kan Arts and MSM, and was involved in genealogy, community politics and activism. She enjoyed baby-sitting the granddaughters and being with family.
She married Micheal Zinn. They divorced. She married Tracy Hornbeck. They divorced.
Survivors include three children, Jason Hornbeck and wife Rhonda, Manhattan, Anna Celsea Giles and husband Jeremy, Olathe, and Caitlin Hornbeck, Lawrence; a brother, Steve Carr, Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Kathey Carr, Rockaway Beach, Ore., and Jenny Jones, Nevada, Mo.; her mother, of Nevada, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Aaron Uhlrig, Ariana Hornbeck and Leandra Joy Nathan.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorials to Van Go Mobile Arts, sent in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
