Elizabeth M. Crabb 1926 - 2009 Lawrence
Funeral services for Elizabeth “Betty” M. Crabb, 83, Lawrence, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge. Burial will follow at Eden Mennonite Cemetery.
Mrs. Crabb, formerly of Moundridge, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence.
She was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Moundridge, the youngest of 16 children of John J. and Elizabeth Zerger Goering.
She attended Bethel College in Newton. She was a homemaker and a piano teacher.
She was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge and had served as an accompanist there.
She married Harry Edward Crabb on June 21, 1945, in Moundridge. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Dr. R. Paul Crabb and wife Ginny, Columbia, Mo.; two daughters, Janeal Crabb Krehbiel and husband Randall K., and Marilyn Epp and husband E. Laverne, all of Lawrence; a brother, Lloyd V. Goering, Hesston; seven grandchildren, Melissa Krehbiel, Heather McDonough, Tyler Epp, Paul Epp, Susie Epp, Erin Crabb and Lindsey Crabb; and three great-grandchildren, Grace, Brooke and Griffin McDonough.
The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice or the Lawrence Children’s Choir, the Eden Church Chancel and Men’s Choirs, or Voices of Prometheus of Columbia, Mo., sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
