Rosalee Kessler

McLouth — Funeral services for Rosalee Kessler, 79, McLouth, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McLouth First Baptist Church. Burial will be at McLouth Cemetery.
Mrs. Kessler died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Lawrence, the daughter of Earl and Rosetta Lee Jellison.
She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1948. She worked many years at Kansas Color Press and Allen Press, both in Lawrence. She enjoyed being a child care worker at a Child’s World Daycare in Oskaloosa until her retirement.
She married James “Ray” Kessler on Aug. 13, 1949, in Lawrence. He died June 16, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Burns, and a granddaughter, Amber Kessler.
Survivors include three sons, Edward and Greg Kessler, both of McLouth, and John Kessler, Blue Rapids; two sisters, Ruth Hargett, Lawrence, and Cindy Scoharer, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
