Ryan “Quick” LaVell Green
Funeral service for Ryan “Quick” LaVell Green, 48, Lawrence, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ninth Street Baptist Church. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Green died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, in Butner, N.C.
He was born Feb. 20, 1961, in Lawrence, the son of Darel L. and Freida Kimball Green. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1979.
Mr. Green attended Tarkio College. He was a sports enthusiast and participated in many athletic activities throughout his life.
Survivors include a daughter, Brianna Wehlage and husband Dustin, Chanute; his mother, Lawrence; three brothers, Darren and wife Joyce, Lawrence, Shannon, Norton, and Ben Borland, Lawrence; a grandson, Maddox Wehlage; his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Walker Kimball, Lawrence; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Sherye.
The family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary.
