Wendell Otto Kasson Jr. 1938 - 2009 El Dorado, Kan.
La Crosse, Wis. — A memorial service for Wendell Otto Kasson Jr., 71, El Dorado, Kan., will be at a later date in La Crosse.
Mr. Kasson died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, in Wichita of a heart attack.
He was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Los Angeles, the son of Wendell Otto Sr. and Gladys Louise Kasson. He was a former Lawrence resident.
He graduated from Lecompton High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Friends University and Wichita State University. He was a home health nurse, worked at Goodwill Industries in La Crosse and was a Salvation Army bell ringer.
Survivors include two sons, Hank, La Crosse, and Frank, Onalaska, Wis.; a brother, Wesley and wife Loretta, Topeka; and two grandchildren.
