Carolyn Norman

Funeral services for Carolyn Norman, 67, Linwood, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tonganoxie Christian Church, 204 Washington St. Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.
Mrs. Norman died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born July 1, 1942, in Lynnville, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy Davis Sparks. She graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1960 and Johnson County Community College in 1977.
Mrs. Norman had worked for the Basehor-Linwood school district, DeVry College in Kansas City, Mo., and Carlson Travel Agency in Fort Leavenworth.
She was a member of Tonganoxie Christian Church, Leavenworth County 4-H Foundation and the Linwood Library board of directors.
She married William Thomas Norman Jr. on Feb. 11, 1978. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Brian Norman, Olathe; a daughter, Kristen Coulter, Bonner Springs; two sisters, Marjorie Sparks, Des Moines, Iowa, and Nancy Berk, Louisburg; and a grandson.
The family will meet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
