Leora Belle Borror

Funeral services for Leora Belle Borror, 86, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett.
Mrs. Borror died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar.
She was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Garnett, the daughter of Walter D. Lilly and Hattie Belle Ballard. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Blaine Cook.
She was a homemaker and volunteer for The Salvation Army. She was a member of Tops, African Violet Club and the Jayhawk Camper Club. She was also involved with Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.
She married Franklin D. Borror on Oct. 9, 1941, in Garnett. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Franklin L. and Max D., both of Garnett; three daughters, Marcia Criqui, Garnett, Judith G. Shepherd, Lawrence, and Constance “Connie” Turner, Lawrence; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army or to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary.
