Luellen J. Paustian 1924 - 2009 Lawrence

Memorial services for Luellen J. Paustian, 85, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Paustian died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 16, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of William F. and Jewel Anderson Hall. She grew up in Tonganoxie and attended Kansas University in the late 1940s. After her marriage she and her husband lived in several countries and cities in the United States, retiring to Lawrence in the late 1990s.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lawrence, and Beta Sigma Phi, Overland Park.
She married Henry J. Paustian on April 12, 1946, in Lawrence. He died June 14, 2007.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas George Paustian, on May 14, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Paustian, Olathe, and Steven Paustian, Overland Park; two sisters, Mary Beth Meyerscough, Leawood, and Katherine Keene, Lawrence; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice or First United Methodist Church, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
