Joseph A. Ciambrone Jr.

Wilson Borough, Pa. — A memorial service for Joseph A. Ciambrone Jr., 72, of Wilson Borough, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Bethel Memorial Baptist Church in Palmer Township.
Mr. Ciambrone died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1937, in Easton, the son of Joseph A. Sr. and Mary DePamphilis Ciambrone. He was a 1956 graduate of Wilson High School.
Mr. Ciambrone was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He retired from the Red Roof Inn in Catasauqua, where he worked for 17 years. Prior to that, he worked at Schaffer Bologna, Dime Mortgage and Cooke Chemical Co.
He was an active member of Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, where he especially enjoyed mission work and working with teens. He was also a member of the Wilson Borough Republican Club, Wilson Democratic Association and Honda Riders Club. He enjoyed his grandchildren’s activities and loved to ride his motorcycle.
He and his wife, the former Patricia Drake, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on Dec. 18, 2008. She survives.
Other survivors include six sons, David, of San Francisco, Steve and wife Kari, of Castaic, Calif., Ed and wife Judy, of Baldwin City, Kan., Joe and wife Barb, of Bath, and Jason Wolfe and wife Misty and Lucas Wolfe and wife Amy, all of Wilson Borough; a daughter, Heather Lee and husband Chad, of Wilson Borough; a brother, Paul, of Levittown; a sister, Karen Rauktis, of Easton; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, before the service.
