Darrell E. Kahle

Eudora — Memorial services for Darrell E. Kahle, 74, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary’s Eudora chapel. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14.
Mr. Kahle died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1934, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Arthur and Beulah McDivitt Kahle. He was raised in Alta Vista.
He was a district manager for Guy’s Potato Chips for 33 years. He retired in 1981. He then owned The Pub in Eudora for many years.
He was a member of the Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83 in Eudora.
He married Geraldine Larson on Oct. 9, 1955, in Alta Vista. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2005.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynn Reif, of Dwight, Trisha Theas, of Americus, and Darla Lamb of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Gerald, of Linwood; one brother, Ivor L., of Manhattan; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, followed by Masonic services conducted by Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83, at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Way.
The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association or Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83, sent in care of the mortuary’s Lawrence office, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
