Gina M. Gardere 1963 - 2009 Avondale, Ariz.
Memorial services for Gina Marie Lathrom Gardere, 45, Avondale, Ariz., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardere died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, in Lawrence.
She was born Sept. 6, 1963, in Lawrence, the daughter of Howard Lee Lathrom and Virginia Lee Groninger. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1982.
Mrs. Gardere was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, making dream catchers and bracelets.
Her first marriage was to Edmond Paul Stroda. She married Floyd Henry Gardere on Aug. 8, 1994, in Lake Tahoe, Calif. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Melissa Ann Guice, Red Bluff, Calif., Jennifer Rayne Arnold, Lawrence, and Melinda N. Stroda Gardere, Avondale, Ariz.; a son, Jose Guerra, Chico, Calif.; a brother, Donald Cannon, Lawrence; three sisters, Kandy Lipp, Tecumseh, Lori Mizell, Kansas City, Kan., and Christine Torneden, Lawrence; and 26 grandchildren, including Alexis Gardere, Donald Guice, Heather Childers, Alissa Arnold and Maci Arnold.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vanessa Marie Childers.
The family suggests memorials to the Gina Gardere Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
