Rosie J. Dale

Vassar — Graveside services for Rosie J. Dale, 83, Baldwin City, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Vassar Cemetery in Vassar.
Mrs. Dale died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at the Baldwin Healthcare Center in Baldwin City.
She was born June 22, 1926, in Calico Rock, Ark., the daughter of William and Amy Powel Dillard.
After graduating from high school, she attended hairdressing school. She was a hairdresser in Overland Park.
Mrs. Dale was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Overland Park, and the United Methodist Church.
She married Floyd Drown in 1945. They later divorced.
She married Don Dale in 1966. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Elizabeth, and three brothers, Lewis, Besum and Osby.
Survivors include three sons, David Drown, Scranton, Mike Drown, Pittsburg, and Dan Drown, Overland Park; two stepdaughters, Nikki LeFebuer, Plano, Texas, and Kerri Luttjohn, Topeka; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
