William L. Trieb 1926 - 2009 Tonganoxie
Funeral services for William L. Trieb, 83, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Basehor.
Mr. Trieb died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the VA Nursing Center in Leavenworth.
He was born March 27, 1926, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Otto and Sara Scott Trieb.
Mr. Trieb was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a rancher, and worked in maintenance for the Rock Island Railroad and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
He married his wife, Darlene Trieb, on Oct. 25, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan. She preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 2005.
Survivors include three sons; Gary, Kearney, Mo., Tim, Bothell, Wash., and Steve, Tonganoxie; two daughters, Nancy Millison, Basehor, and Sarah Marshall, Bonner Spring; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
