Ruth Marie Kingery 1912 - 2009 Pomona
Graveside services for Ruth Marie Kingery, 96, rural Pomona, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, west of Centropolis.
Mrs. Kingery died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Hillside Village in De Soto.
She was born Aug. 18, 1912, in Peoria, the daughter of Albert and Bessie Richards Conley.
She attended Rantoul High School and completed her teaching degree at Emporia State University. She taught at area schools for many years.
She married Alva Lewis Kingery on Dec. 26, 1936, in Fort Scott. They owned and operated Kingery Trucking. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Moses; and a son-in-law, Ivan Snyder.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Snyder, Lawrence, and Alice Bond and husband, Max, Eudora; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials to Asera Care Hospice, sent in care of Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 268, Overbrook, KS 66524.
