Karen V. Reiling 1946 - 2009 Lawrence
Funeral services for Karen V. Reiling, 63, Lawrence, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Another service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Utica, Neb. Burial will be in Utica Cemetery.
Ms. Reiling died Monday, April 13, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 5, 1946, in York, Neb., the daughter of Walter H. and Emelia Scherer Reiling. She moved to Lawrence from Nebraska in 1994.
Ms. Reiling was a housekeeper for Best Western in Lawrence and retired in October 2008. She was a former member of the Rural Youth in Lincoln, Neb.
Survivors include two brothers, Marlin and wife Carol, Lake Worth, Fla., and Ken, Lawrence; a sister-in-law, Nancy Reiling, Lawrence; four nieces, Heidi and Tina Reiling, Kelly Reiling-Ulinskas and Lisa Reiling-Hopkins; and a nephew, Scott Reiling.
The family suggests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nebraska, sent in care of the mortuary.
The family will meet friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the mortuary and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
