Catherine E. Ward 1921 - 2009 Lawrence
A memorial visitation for Catherine E. Ward, 88, Lawrence, will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ward died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1921, in Provincetown, Mass., the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Matos Perry. She attended schools in Provincetown and later attended nursing school in Boston.
Mrs. Ward was a homemaker.
She married Merle F. Ward on Dec. 16, 1942, in Boston. He died on April 27, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Bob Ward.
Survivors include two sons, Ken, San Jose, Calif., and Darrel and wife Lynn, Lawrence; a daughter, Sandra Ward, Ecaussinnes, Belgium; a sister-in-law, Rise Ward, Lawrence; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Public Library, sent in care of the funeral home.
