Betty Wayne Campbell 1920 - 2009 Lawrence
Funeral services for Betty Wayne Campbell, 88, Lawrence, will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Drury Place at Alvamar in Lawrence.
Mrs. Campbell died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Fredonia, the daughter of Frank G. and Jenny Mathia Smith Brown. She graduated from Coffeyville High School in 1938.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of Eastern Star and Busy Bee Quilters.
She married Albert L. Campbell in May 1941. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Albert Campbell Jr., Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Bertie Campbell, San Francisco, and Margo Campbell Szabo, Lawrence; two brothers, Richard and Delbert Brown; a sister, Jeanetta Reed; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday before services at the funeral home.
