William C. Furst Lawrence
Winfield — Graveside services with military honors for William C. Furst, 77, Lawrence, were Monday at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield.
Mr. Furst died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Furst was a retired junior college social studies instructor and MetLife systems manager.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn, of the home; two daughters, Lyn Pitman and Pam Buxton, both of Wichita; a sister, Dorothy Hoerst, Lady Lake, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy Fund, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202.
