Mary Louise Reed 1929 - 2008 Lawrence
Funeral services for Mary Louise Reed, 78, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.Mrs. Reed died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Iola, the daughter of Harry Eugene Sr. and Nellie Crowder Reed. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence. She worked for many years at Bendix King and retired 13 years ago. She had been a Lawrence resident since 1941.Mrs. Reed is survived by a son, Robert Wright, Lawrence; two brothers, Don Porter, Portland, Ore., and LeRoy Reed, Ocala, Fla.; three sisters, Ada Wright, Topeka, Pauline Dulin, Lawrence, and Loretta Hill, Topeka; and four grandchildren.The family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
