William L. Walker

A celebration of life for William L. “Bill” Walker, 55, McLouth, will be at a later date at his home near Lake Dabinawa. His body was willed to the Kansas University Medical Center, Department of Anatomy.Mr. Walker died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at his home.He was born May 19, 1953, in Clearwater, Fla., the son of Lossie Linton and Margaret Strickland Walker. He was raised in Florida and later moved to Kansas City, Kan. He moved to the Lawrence area in 1997.Mr. Walker was a self-employed carpenter and worked as a subcontractor for many area contractors.He married Pat Adams on March 17, 2000. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Heather Walker, Largo, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Terri A. Adams, Topeka, Christina M. Witt, Eden, Utah, and Melody R. Adams, Lawrence; a son, Ellis, Largo, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.Warren-McElwain Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
