Jane Grems Howard 1938 - 2008 Lawrence
Funeral service for Jane Grems Howard, 70, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.Ms. Howard died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008.She was born May 9, 1938, in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Alton and Anna Clark Grems. She had worked as a retail clerk for Weavers Department Store, and retired in 2006 from Wal-Mart in Lawrence. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie. Survivors include one son; Brad Howard, Lawrence; one daughter; Abbe Flowers, Lawrence; two brothers; Bill Grems, Englewood, Colo., and Jim Grems, Eudora; four sisters; Jo Ann Brown, Linwood, Linda Gaffney, Huntington Beach, Calif., Ruth Lee, Lawrence, and Virginia Ritsema, Riverside, Calif.; and four grandchildrenThe family will meet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O Box 993, Tonganoxie, KS 66086.
