Leland F. Hartman

Services for Leland F. Hartman, 81, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel in Lebanon. Burial will be at Mount Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4107. Mr. Hartman died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Lebanon.He was born May 6, 1927, in Big Springs, Kan., the son of Frederick Heinrick and Leona Kraft Hartman.Mr. Hartman was a dairy farmer in Wright County, Mo., and Douglas County, Kan., for most of his life.He married Myrna Lyril Ward on Sept. 11, 1954. She died in October 1985.Mr. Hartman was also preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include two sons, Jeff and wife Penny, Lebanon, and Mark and wife Laura, Mountain Grove; a daughter, Jeanette Spencer and husband Rod, Lecompton, Kan.; two brothers, Warren and wife Mary Jane, Germantown, Tenn., and Calvin and wife Nellie, Lecompton; one sister, Lila Bonnell, Riverton, Wyo.; eight grandchildren, Doug Spencer, Tricia Yother, Ryan and Brandon Ratterree, Kayla Hopkins, Travis and Steven Hartman, and Angela Biggers; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
