Andrew Paul Erhart

A private family memorial service for Andrew Paul Erhart, 77, of Claremore, Okla., will be later.Mr. Erhart died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at the Claremore Veterans Center.He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Battle Creek, Mich., the son of Albert and Eva Thomas Erhart. He graduated from Lawrence High School and continued his education at Kansas University, where he majored in engineering and music. In 1951, Mr. Erhart entered the U.S. Coast Guard.He was a packaging engineer most of his life at Burd and Fletcher in Kansas City, Mo. He also worked at Conoco Security and Pinkerton Security in Ponca City, Okla.Mr. Erhart enjoyed bass fishing and was a member of Jayhawk Model Masters Club in Lawrence.Survivors include his former wife, Jan Erhart, Ponca City; three sons, Michael D., Bartlesville, Okla., Scott and wife Vicki, Van Buren, Ark., and Bradley A. and wife Rychel, Dallas; two daughters, Tracy Smith, Lenexa, and Suzie Lohnes and husband Randy, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Jim, Ripley, Miss.; two sisters, Betty Gordon and husband Bob, Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Kathleen Stevenson and husband Bob, Weslaco, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Joshua and Michelle Williams, Jacob and Odessa Smith, Kylie and Brady Lohnes, and Scotti Erhart.Mr. Erhart was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thayne “Dutch”; and a sister, Donna Fox.
