Graveside services for Merle May Lewis, 106, Ottawa, will be at 4 p.m. today in Gardner Cemetery.Mrs. Lewis died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Richmond Care Center in Richmond.She was born May 6, 1902, in Agricola, the daughter of Werter Rutherford and Lotta Irene Connely Clark. She grew up and attended schools in Ottawa. She moved from Ottawa to Olathe in 1930. She later moved to Oklahoma and moved back to Ottawa in 1934. Mrs. Lewis worked as a bookkeeper and later as a nurse's aide at Gardner Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and the Oasis Club and Garden Club, both in Ottawa.She married Ernest Clifton Hull on Oct. 3, 1923, in Ottawa. They shared more than 10 years of marriage. He died Jan. 5, 1934. She married Ralph Arthur Lewis on Nov. 20, 1935, in Mound City. They shared more than 27 years of marriage. He died April 6, 1963.Mrs. Lewis also was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Robert Ernest Hull, in 1988, and M. Rex Lewis, on Sept. 24, 2000; three brothers, Raymond Clark, in 1989, Lawrence Clark, in 1987, and Leslie Clark, in 2000.Survivors include a son, Clarence Leslie Hull, Fort Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church of Ottawa, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
