Johnathan C. Edison 1969 - 2008 El Dorado
Memorial services for Johnathan C. Edison, 38, El Dorado, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. He was cremated.Mr. Edison died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at his home.He was born Aug. 4, 1969, in Parsons, the son of Walter Armstead Watkins and Debra Denise Edison. He grew up in Wichita and graduated from North West High School. He received a bachelor's degree from Kansas Wesleyn University in Salina, and was pursuing a master's degree. Mr. Edison was a college basketball coach, and had coached other sports and served as a mentor in the communities where he lived. He moved to El Dorado a year ago.Survivors include three sons, Barkley Edison, Salina, and Wesley and Christopher Eisley, both of El Dorado; two daughters, Lexie Edison, Salina, and Soledad Eisley, El Dorado; his mother, Debra Denise Edison, Lawrence; four brothers, Jamie Edison, Minnesota, and Shaun and Derik McCarthy and Andre Jackson, all of Wichita; and four sisters, Ashley, North Carolina, Janae, California, Angela Germony and Sonya Reed.
