Eva L. Harvey 1919 - 2008 Andover
Graveside services for Eva L. Harvey, 88, Andover, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Andover Cemetery.Mrs. Harvey died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her daughter's home in Baldwin City after an illness.She was born Aug. 10, 1919, in Republic, the daughter of James L. and Neva Beck Taylor. She attended Prairie Dell country school and graduated from Republic High School. She attended Kansas Wesleyan College, where she received a teaching certificate. Mrs. Harvey taught in country schools. She was a homemaker and also worked for 35 years for Beechcraft Activity Center as a banquet hostess. She was active in the HDU unit in Butler County and served for many years on the election board. She was a longtime member of Andover United Methodist Church. She enjoyed interacting with neighbors and friends and the home her husband built outside of Andover. She married Harold P. Harvey on April 20, 1942. He died in February 2000.Mrs. Harvey was also preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include two sons, James L. Harvey and wife Janice Marcus, Salt Lake City, and Paul Harvey and wife Laurie, Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter, Vicki Ulrich and husband Marshall, Baldwin City; eight grandsons, Mike, Jessie and Matt Harvey, Luke, Isaac and Jordan Ulrich, and Todd and Thomas Marcus; and four great-grandsons, Andrew and Nathan Harvey, Dane Ulrich and Asher Marcus.The family suggests memorials to the church, 1429 N. Andover Road, Andover, KS 67002. Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin City is in charge of arrangements.
