Thomas E. Crum 1948 - 2008 Lawrence
Family inurnment services for Thomas E. Crum, 60, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Clinton Cemetery. Mr. Crum died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., from injuries received in a vehicle accident.He was born May 2, 1948, in Lawrence, the son of John P. and Betty Gibler Crum. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1966. Mr. Crum served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1970 aboard the U.S.S. William Pratt and received the National Defense Service Medal. He worked for Lakeview Manor in Lawrence for more than five years and most recently worked at Westlake Ace Hardware in Lawrence.Survivors include three sons, Ryan T. and Travis A., both of Eudora, and Kevin L., Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Heather Brown, Bonner Springs; two sisters, Jolene Malfatti, San Francisco, and Betty Lea Carson, Denver; and two granddaughters, Alyssa and Addyson Crum.The family suggests memorials to Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, sent in care of Lawrence Funeral Chapel.Online condolences can be sent at <a href="http://www.barnettchapeloaks.com">www.barnettchapeloaks.com</a>.
