Mass of Christian Burial for Grace May Adams, 78, Oskaloosa, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Theresa Church in Perry. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Perry.Mrs. Adams died Monday, May 5, 2008, at her home after a long illness. She was born July 27, 1929, in Manhattan, the daughter of Orville Israel and Emma Johanna Coltharp Swaim. She had lived in Oskaloosa since 1969. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and Ladies Altar Society in Perry. She was also active in school activities and as a Cub Scout den mother. She married Robert “Keith” Adams on Oct. 30, 1954, in Newton. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include four sons, Steve Robert Adams and wife Jo, Kevin Adams and wife Julie, and Wade Adams, all of Oskaloosa, and Bruce Adams and wife Debbie, Hutchinson; five daughters, Pat Cress and husband Gary and Kathy Adams, both of Topeka, Janette Adams, Oskaloosa, Teresa Holz and husband Steven, Belvue, and Stephanie Parsons and husband Jeff Pechar, Plano, Texas; a sister, Marjorie Bunting and husband Alfred, Burlingame; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four nephews.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.The family suggests memorials to St. Theresa Catholic Church or Jefferson County Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
