Francis R. "Frank" Renfro 1913 - 2008 Tecumseh
Funeral services for Francis R. "Frank" Renfro, 95, Tecumseh, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Meriden Chapel. Burial will be in Valley Falls Cemetery.Mr. Renfro died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home.He was born April 21, 1913, in the Bloomfield community north of Meriden, the son of Francis Edward and Bertha May Matters Renfro. He lived in the Newman area, west of Perry, for many years. Mr. Renfro was a lifelong farmer and was a rural mail carrier and assistant mail carrier for many years. He was a member of Perry United Methodist Church and the Rural Letter Carriers Association. He married Edna J. Krumery Renfro on April 12, 1933, at Topeka. They shared 75 years of marriage. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include three daughters, Ladonna Grindol and husband Ben, Berryton, Connie Green and husband Verlin, Perry, and Brenda Price and husband Bruce, Tecumseh; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frankie L. Smith, in 2006; a sister, May Joyce; and a brother, Mark Renfro.Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice, 200 S.W.
