Kenneth R. "Kenny" Clough 1938 - 2008 Alta Vista
Services for Kenneth R. "Kenny" Clough, 69, Alta Vista, will be at 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church in Alta Vista, with Pastors Jim Slack and Clarence Sumner officiating. Burial will follow in Moss Springs Cemetery in Alta Vista.Mr. Clough died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.He was born June 4, 1938, in Lawrence, the son of Richard and Myrtle Farmer Clough. He was an active member of Kanawaka 4-H Club while attending school. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1956. He moved to Alta Vista in January 1972.Mr. Clough did masonry work on the residence halls at Kansas University. He farmed and ranched in the Lawrence area and then in Alta Vista. He was a member of Lone Wranglers Square Dance Club in Manhattan. He served on the Garfield Township Board and 23 years on the Alma Soil Conversation Board. He retired in January 2007. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, where he was baptized in 2006. He enjoyed growing up with his niece and nephew, spending time with his family and grandchildren, the outdoors, farming and his dog, Yeller. He married Linda Davison on Aug. 5, 1995. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, John Davison and wife Faith, Atchison; a daughter, Lorie Davison, Alta Vista; a brother, Roy Clough and wife Doris, Lawrence; a nephew, Allen Clough; a niece, Nancy Patterson; six grandchildren, Christopher, Braven, Emma, Nicholas, Anna-Grace and Aiden; and three great-nephews, Jason Clough and Matthew and Dustin Patterson.The family suggests memorials to Pleasant Ridge Christian Church or Kansas Dialysis of Manhattan, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel, 137 North Union, Council Grove, KS 66846.
