Gordon Hubbell Wells 1953 - 2008 Lawrence
Services were Friday for Gordon Hubbell Wells, 54, Lawrence.Mr. Wells died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Sept. 27, 1953, in Newton, the son of D. Bradford and Mary Jean Wells.He graduated from Newton High School in 1971 and earned a degree from Kansas University in 1976.Mr. Wells maintained a small advertising agency and was a golf writer and golf course rater.He married Wendy S. Martin on June, 5, 1976, in Newton. They later divorced.Survivors include a daughter, Molly Duffy, Castle Rock, Colo.; his mother, of Wichita; a brother, Lyndon, Wichita; and two sisters, Anne Wright, Overland Park, and Susan Aniello, Wichita.The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice, 3715 S.W. 29th St., Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
