Janice J. Culbertson 1939 - 2008 Lawrence
Memorial services for Janice J. Culbertson, 68, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.Mrs. Culbertson died Monday, June 23, 2008, at her home.She was born Dec. 11, 1939, in Hartford, the daughter of Harvey J. and Mary Fern Reeves Smith. She moved to Lawrence from Topeka in 1968.Mrs. Culbertson worked at Douglas County Bank as a proof supervisor from 1977 to 2002.She married Donald K. Culbertson on Nov. 14, 1959, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Gayle Culbertson, Lawrence; a son, Carl Culbertson, Lawrence; two sisters, Eunice Banning, Hesston, and Rhonda Crow, Harlingen, Texas; two brothers, Earl Smith, Haysville, and Owen Smith, Topeka; and four grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care, sent in care of the mortuary.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.warrenmcelwain.com">www.warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Culbertson.
