Shirley V. Burke 1935 - 2008 McLouth
Graveside services for Shirley V. Burke, 73, McLouth, will be private. Mrs. Burke died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Providence Medical Center.She was born June 21, 1935, in Lansing, the daughter of Zeke and Anna Mindenhaul Mills.Mrs. Burke worked for Arrowhead Junior High School. She also had worked for Montgomery Ward, Maupintour Travel and Sallie Mae, all in Lawrence.Survivors include her husband, William E. Burke; a son, Patrick E. Burke, Caldwell, Idaho; a daughter, Michelle A. Bianco, Bargenat, N.J.; two brothers, Larry and Jackie Mills; and four grandchildren.Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home.The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association, sent in care of the funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112.
