Robert G. Endres 1935 - 2008 Overland Park

Funeral services for Robert G. Endres, 73, Overland Park, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's Parish in Prairie Village. Mr. Endres died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at his home.He was born Feb. 24, 1935, in Wichita, the son of George and Edith Endres. He graduated from Wichita East High School and Kansas University.Mr. Endres was a retired commercial interior designer. He was an active member of the metropolitan area arts community and actively involved in the Prairie Village Arts Council, the Arts Council of Johnson County, the Nelson Art Gallery Fellows and the Johnson County Park and Recreation Art Fest Exhibition. He was chairman emeritus of the Shooting Stars program. He was also a member of St. Ann's Parish in Prairie Village and Phi Kappa Theta fraternity, Epsilon Chapter. Mr. Endres was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Elizabeth Jenkins Endres.Survivors include a son, Grey, Lenexa; and three grandsons.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at D.W. Newcomers Johnson County Chapel in Overland Park, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday.The family suggests memorials to Shooting Stars, sent in care of Columbian Bank, 4701 W. 110th, Overland Park, KS 66211 or the Gillis Center, 8150 Wornall, Kansas City, MO 64114.
