David M. Pottorf

Services for David M. Pottorf, 52, Oskaloosa, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oskaloosa United Methodist Church with Masonic services to follow. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.Mr. Pottorf died Friday, May 30, 2008, at his home.He was born Nov. 16, 1955, in Leavenworth, the son of Marlin A. “Bud” and Julianne Means Pottorf.Mr. Pottorf worked at the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at Lake Perry for 33 years. He was a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church. He was past master of Masonic Lodge 14 A.F. and A.M., past worthy patron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 62 and the Scottish Rite Bodies and Arab Shrine of Topeka. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association, National Trappers Association and Ducks Unlimited.He married Robin Frances Crawford on April 19, 1980, in Oskaloosa. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his parents, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Saralee Garren and Shelley Cunningham, both of Oskaloosa; and nieces and nephews.A son, Jacob P., died June 28, 2002.Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
