Funeral services for Wayne A. Bradley, 50, Centropolis, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.Mr. Bradley died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at his home.He was born May 16, 1958, in Neosho, Mo., the son of Geneva Bradley. He grew up and attended school in Diamond, Mo. He moved to Ottawa in 1979 and to the Centropolis/Pomona area in 1999.Mr. Bradley served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1979 and attended many schools including defensive driving, electronics technician, cultural expression/phase II human relation, syncro principles and shipboard security force training. He worked as an electrician in electrical maintenance at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Plant in Topeka for 13 years. He previously worked as an electrician at Wolfe Creek from 1980 to 1984 and Hercules Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto from 1984 to 1994.He attended Agape and Assembly of God Church. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Unions 307, 22 and 226. He was a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Lodge 2700, Ottawa Lodge 803 and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.He married Starleen Schmoe on Nov. 5, 1982, in Ottawa. She survives, of the home. Other survivors include three sons, 2nd Lt. Buck Bradley and wife Sarah, Quantico, Va., Cpl. Levi Bradley, Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Cord Bradley, Olathe; a daughter, Nichole Bradley, Pomona; a brother, Richard Carterman and wife Ruth, Diamond, Mo.; three sisters, Carol Bradley, Diamond, Mo., Phyllis Loving, Missouri, and Florence Columbo, Arkansas; his mother-in-law, Sherry Wright, Ottawa; his father- and mother-in-law, George Sr. and Marsha Schmoe, Ottawa; four brothers-in-law, Darin Schmoe and wife Rebecca, Ottawa, Darik Schmoe and wife Linda, Pomona, George Schmoe Jr. and wife Jessica, Lane, and William Schmoe, Ottawa; and four grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby, Tucker and Ava Bradley; many aunts and uncles, including Darlene Finch, Springfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Bradley; an uncle, Francis Finch, in 2007; and an aunt, Ruth Patterson, in 2007.Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday before the services at the church. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa.The family suggests memorials to the Bradley Children Education Fund, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S.
