Funeral services for William H. "Bill" Stahl, 89, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Military and Masonic services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.Mr. Stahl died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Little River, the son of John L. and Lucinda Jackson Stahl.Mr. Stahl served during World War II in Gen. George S. Patton's 3rd Army. He was a supervisor of the residence hall food service at Kansas University and retired in 1983. He was a member of the Acacia Lodge 9 AF&AM, American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post 14 , York Rite Bodies, White Shrine of Jerusalem and First Christian Church.He married V. Lucille Holloway on June 19, 1941, in Little Rock, Ark. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Linda D. Courtright, Littleton, Colo.; a son, William H.
