Forest Elmer "Frostie" Tallcott 1913 - 2008 Palm Bay, Fla.
Memorial services for Forest Elmer "Frostie" Tallcott, 95, Palm Bay, Fla., were Saturday at South Brevard Funeral Home in Melbourne.Mr. Tallcott died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at William Childs Hospice in Palm Bay.He was born Feb. 18, 1913, in Hollenberg, Kan., the son of Elmer Wilbert and Cora Lulu Thrapp Tallcott.Mr. Tallcott served in the Civilian Conservation Corps for three years during World War II. He worked for 32 years as a civil engineer for the Department of Agriculture. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Order. He sang as a barbershop quartet tenor and enjoyed practicing with his family at an early age.Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Nellie Elizabeth "Beth" Tallcott; a daughter, Faye J. Sheppard; two stepsons, Robert E. and Scott R. Heath; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Mr. Tallcott was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, of 49 years, Thelma Parsons Tallcott.The family suggests memorials to Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, Fidelis Iota Chapter, sent in care of Beth Tallcott, 815 Briar Creek Road, 311 Palm Bay, FL 32905.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.affuneral.com">www.affuneral.com</a>.
