Graveside services for Kathryn Zelma Walker, 61, of Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Richards Dale Cemetery in Bevier, Mo.Mrs. Walker died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.She was born May 15, 1947, in Macon, Mo., the daughter of John and Mildred Elsie Riley Lawrence. She had lived in Jefferson County for 26 years.She worked for several years as a housekeeper at the Jefferson County Geriatrics Center in Winchester and as a dishwasher at the Kansan restaurant in Oskaloosa.She married Carl R. Walker on Aug. 8, 1963, in Kansas City, Kan. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Rodney Lee Walker, Easton, and Robert Walker, McLouth; two daughters, Denise Roberts, Oskaloosa, and Carla Sedgwick, Easton.; three brothers, Loyd Lawrence, Adrian, Mo., Joe Lawrence, Kansas City, Kan., and Ricky Lawrence, Norborne, Mo.; four sisters, Becky Taylor, Overland Park, Sandra Russell and Glenda Higginbotham, both of Bonner Springs, and Lois Michaels, Norborne, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.A daughter, Vernetta Rossler, and a grandson died earlier.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to the Kathryn Z.
