Sharon Kay Hendrix Chang 1942 - 2008 San Francisco
Services for Sharon Kay Hendrix Chang, 65, San Francisco, are pending.Mrs. Chang died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in San Francisco.She was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Lawrence, the daughter of Phyllis Pauline June. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1961.Mrs. Chang worked and lived in the Topeka and Kansas City areas for many years before she moved to San Francisco in the 1980s. She was an administrative assistant in the health care industry and later for the San Francisco school district. She also worked with disadvantaged children in a state nursery in California. She married Wayne Hendrix in May 1961 in Lawrence. They divorced. She married Walter Chang in San Francisco. He preceded her in death.Survivors include two sons, Dana and Danny Hendrix, Scranton; a grandson, Danny Hendrix Jr., Scranton; an uncle, Raymond June, Lawrence; two aunts, Doris Boehle and Alvera Grammer, both of Lawrence; and many other relatives and friends.
